"The Lady"

"The Lady" - Armoire inspired from a 1900 painting by Alphonse Mucha entitled "Printemps". This armoire is made of Honduras mahogany and Macassar ebony veneers. The marquetry in "The Lady" uses twenty-five different woods in their natural color except the wood used for the green of her dress was dyed. Twelve of the twenty-five woods were purchased and the other thirteen were reclaimed woods from landscape trees in Southern California's urban forest. The dimensions are 50" wide x 77" high x 20" deep.
